"Writing Children’s Picture Books" - online course

Clare was in the middle of this course in October and
began it following the Trace Writing course when she had the idea of a children’s book. As she approached the end of the course
Karen King’s input became more instructive and valuable. Hopefully she will give a more complete picture of shortly.

Margaret visited for a day and was very impressed with
what she saw but sorry that she couldn’t stay longer and take full advantage of what it could offer. Her
impression was that it would be hard work but great fun! |

This closed on the 15/8/05 and Clare has completed 2
‘Season of Inspiration’ courses with them, in ’04 and ’05. Covered writing in all genres and urged the members to keep
a daily journal. Also weekly challenges. Clare found that she, and the other students, were ‘constantly stretching our
boundaries’. It was a worldwide course and comments on other students work was encouraged. Many students kept in touch
and, following the second Summer some started blogs, which was also covered. - Clare 10/05 |
